Sometimes I read the Bible with questions as to the passage of time. Obviously we get the highlighted events, but the sense of change and aging is occasionally lost to us between the lines. How long was it until Eve became pregnant, or until Adam’s hairline started to recede? Was the ground outside the garden always hard, or did it dry up and sprout thorns once they stepped foot on it? Was it months or years, or did it happen right away? Was the evidence of the fall of man gradual or immediate?
