Every friendship has some sort of introduction. Whether you remember or not, you met your friends someplace at some point in time. Maybe you hit it off right away. Maybe you didn’t know their name for a few years. Maybe you got into a knock-down-drag-out brawl in a seedy pub in an obscure village somewhere. Or maybe you were minding your own business over breakfast and you got sneak-attacked by an aquatic dinosaur. Anyway, that’s how it happened with these guys.
I’m not sure if Leviathans were formed on Day 5 or Day 6 of creation, since Ethan tromps through both land and water, but I like to think it was 5 so he is a day older than Moth.
Some cartoonists think it is unnecessary to have a strip focusing on the introduction of primary characters, and admittedly, this is not even close to the first M&E strip I have written. However, with the new format and the structure of this blog, I decided it was important to have a definite beginning to start off the chronology.
