Here is another classic strip, but just so you don’t think I’m posting this to be lazy, I went ahead and re-drew it and added color, as you can see.

This is one of the first strips I wrote, as is the one for tomorrow. You see, it’s funny because “plants” rhymes with “pants”. Or at least it was funny to me 10 years ago. You’ll notice the characters and the style look slightly different. I also changed the text up a bit.

“Why would you do that?” you say. Well, because I can, of course. A decade ago, I was not as familiar with the characters as I am today. Ten years from now, I’m sure they will have evolved even more. It is the nature of the art. It grows with the artist. Just take a look at Garfield.

I think we can all agree that the cat looks different than when Jim Davis introduced him back in 1978.
