What an amazing event and a beautiful reminder. Isn’t it cool to see how light refracted through water (the first two things mentioned in the Creation story eight chapters earlier) forms a spectacular optical phenomenon, allowing us to be captivated by the spectrum?
I’ve always thought of the rainbow as a reminder to us of God’s promise, but in verses 15-16 of Genesis chapter 9, God says that the reminder is for Him. Is it funny to think that the Creator of the Universe, who exists outside of time, wraps a rainbow colored string around his finger to remind Himself of a covenant promise?
An even more astounding reminder? The scars worn on the perfect Son of Man who sacrificed Himself for us so we could be with Him forever.
Boom.
Mind.
Blown.

😀
Good!
