This is an old classic, updated in the new format. The dialogue changed slightly to accommodate the additional panels, and also because of my friend Nathan.
Sometimes when people tell me about their favorite strips, they unintentionally change the wording. It’s like re-telling a joke you’ve heard. You don’t remember it exactly as it was told to you, but it still gets the punchline across.
That’s how it was when Nathan mentioned this original strip. He laughed and said “Who knew?”, instead of the way I wrote it. Now, whenever I look at it, I hear his voice, and I think, “You know, that is funny too. And it’s shorter. Why didn’t I think of that in the first place?”
So, “Thank you, Nathan”. Co-writing credit and official dedication of the re-vamped strip goes to you. Hope you like it.
I love it. Still one of my favorites. Re-reading this Moth and Ethan strip still makes me smile.
