Hmmm. Inventing written language is hard. Maybe this isn’t one of Ethan’s better ideas. But we’ll let it play out, just to see what happens. Although, I think Adam is getting a little stressed…
On another note, I had an awesome lunch meeting last week with an awesome guy by the name of Tom Bancroft. Even if you don’t know who Tom is, you are probably familiar with his work. He has been a character designer for many years and played a major role is the look of several Disney animated movie characters, as well as some Veggie Tales development and plenty of others. He had lots of very helpful things to share, and even gave me a copy of his new book, Character Mentor, which is now available. Coincidentally, if you pick one up (which I highly recommend), flip to page 119 and you might notice a sketch assignment completed by yours truly. Sweet, huh? He also has another new website called Character Mentor Studio.com to accompany the release of his new publication and further help aspiring character designers. Check him out.
