It might seem odd that this chapter begins telling a story, then halfway through, the main character retells the story from the beginning, even though we just read it. However, if we take the time to remember that these stories were originally passed down via oral tradition, we realize that this is an excellent example of that, since repetition aids in memorization.

Kind of reminds me of the story of “Spong”. Maybe I’ll tell it to you the next time you have 4-5 hours to spare.
